With over sixty years in the body shop business, the Woodman family has made a commitment to provide customers with the special services and quality they expect and deserve.  Jess and Ginger Woodman are co-owners of the center on Alby Road.  Jess's grandfather, Jess O. Woodman, Sr. began working on automobiles in the 40's. His son, Jess O. Woodman Jr., followed in his footsteps as a teenager and owned shops on Broadway, Main, and Belle Streets. Jess H. Woodman, current owner Woodman Collision Center, began learning the business as a teenager as well and was co-owner with his father and brother, Danny, at Ninth and Belle.

After a tragic accident, the younger Jess was forced to open his own shop on Milton Road and then Broadway before beginning a twenty year career as a home office field manager with several insurance companies. For the last twelve years of his insurance experience, he served as assistant vice president of claims. This experience, in addition to his travels, gives him a unique insight in dealing with insurance claims.  Woodman Collision Center at the Alby location officially opened Feb. 1, 2004.

Jess's wife, Ginger, serves as the secretary/treasurer, but is also a fifth grade teacher with the Alton School District. Their sons, Ryan and Chad, make up the fourth generation of Woodmans in the business.  Ryan is an auto repair technician and has been with the company since its inception.  Chad is now assisting his father with the day-to-day operations.  He is married to Meredith and together they are raising Clay and Elle,  the fifth generation of Woodmans to serve the area in collision repair.
